Sullivan’s Island is the inspiration for a new accessories and clothing collection

Sullivans Island, a beautiful historic barrier island located off Charleston, SC is the inspiration for a new accessories and clothing line, Maritime Outpost, designed by famed photographer, avid gardener, sailor and global traveller, Caroline Knopf. Growing up on the island in what is now one of its last historic cottages, Knopf was eager to share the magic of Sullivan’s with the world through her whimsical hand screen printed designs on sustainable organic cotton dresses, tees, bags and scarves many sourced from artisan women in Mexico. As Knopf explains, “The idea behind Maritime Outpost is to bring awareness to the connection of natural element, lifestyle, and proximity to the sea distilled through my experience as a NY fashion photographer.”

“Each piece is hand screen printed in our studio located on the Charleston pennisula.”
